I was at Cedar Crest Hospital I was forced to leave even though I was not ready to leave medically or mentally they played a psychological game on me and broke two of the maintenance man to enforce putting me out of the facility I was supposed to be on no less than 2 mg of risperidone and they will give me 0.5 mg of risperidone and I was there only 48 hours and they forced me to leave they said they wanted to cut staff down before the holiday came Christmas so that was very unprofessional of them to do that and I filed appeal complaints about being discharged and they still made me leave even though the pill had not been answered Cedar Crest is manipulative money monger money-hungry Hospital if they are Private Hospital they're manipulating the citizen out of millions of dollars because the more patients they bring in they try to charge a certain rate and God knows what that is I think they should be audited by the internal revenue and the complaint system that's been raised against them they lied to you about everything from support system help or the case management is is the primary part of your system with adults they're thriving on children adolescents from the military I really believe it's the federal government a fair that needs to be dealt with them because more than half of their adolescents off of military families and in that regard they're just they're doing the military knows no real service is this a cloak to cover up the money and greed that the owner of the facility apparently is representing

been here 5 times, if i have to be placed in a place i would pick this one ... wounderful people , hate the doctors. but they do let u smoke lol

Being in Cedar Crest has helped me tremendously. I have nothing but good things to say. The staff is understanding, kind, and attentive. They try many different types of therapy to find something that works, and I can say that going to Cedar Crest has helped me in more ways than one, and I feel much better now then I did before admission.

The staff here are great, really responsive and willing to help. I've sent several referrals to them over the years for stabilizatioin and they always report back that they felt cared for and safe while in their care.

It helped me. I was a patent for have depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts, and they honestly helped me. The nurses were so nice, they took care of us, and I almost cried when I had to leave. It helps a lot. I am a 14 year old girl who needed help and I got that, thanks to them.

Great place. Helped me out a lot. Excellent food. Inpatient leaves a little to be desired but outpatient rocks.

I wont to start with Thank you!!! Cedar Crest.... Regardless to the interviews I read. I think it all has to deal with the way you act(parents). We are not rich or poor... And WE got the best services... My family member is back to their ole' self. Remember positive attitude positive outcome. If your child is going through something in you go in acting a fool. Guess, what thats your prerogative....But, to call them rachet makes no sense. Maybe, they should in roll in to MHMR for their selves. Children should be around negativity. My teenage son was there recently in the acute treatment center. We have nothing but good things to say. We live in College Station and there is a behavioral hospital here...my son was there once, and it was a terrible experience (bad food, bad beds, rude staff). My son said that Cedar Crest is way better. The food is better, the beds are better, and the people were really nice to him. I felt like I got a lot of communication from the people at Cedar Crest as well, as opposed to the hospital in College Station. If you live in College Station and you need behavioral care for your teen, skip the local hospital and make the drive to Belton. It's only an hour and a half. Totally worth it. Very good care. However, make sure they give you back all your kid's belongings. They did not return to my son's medication and a spare pack of contact lenses that they were keeping at the nurse's station. It has taken me OVER THREE WEEKS to resolve this. This has been the biggest disappointment. They should inventory everything these kids bring with them and cross check that inventory when they discharge someone. Problem EASILY solved.

The staff was very kind, spitual, and understanding. The let me talk to my son whenever I wanted and kept me posted with how his progress was going. They answered all my questions thoughly so I could understand. Now my Son is Back Focused and ready to be a Happy, and Enjoy life. Thank You. To the Staff. God Bless. Good : Great Doctors and majority of staff. Activities and good group therapy. Got what I needed from it. Some memories will stay with me. Made a life long friend. Bad : Freezing, bad food, some staff were bad, named one nurse, nurse ratchet. Never went on schedule. Beds were too hard, showers were lukewarm, so much down time. We were locked out of our rooms. Had to wait in the rec room for HOURS until next scheduled activity on hard chairs. My back hurt so bad I was put on resting naps during the day to relax my back. One patient was absolute poison and I had no choice but to spend hours with her in the day room . Another hit every pet peeve imaginable, no choice but to listen to her nonstop diarrhea of the mouth. Overall, I have to seek treatment again (not because of this experience) and I will be finding a different place.
